Postdoctoral Researcher
UFRGS/CNPq
Porto Alegre, RS
I am currently developing postdoctoral research as a CNPq (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development) fellow in the project “Energizing Equity: Girls and Women Empowering the Energy Transition”, an initiative focused on gender equity in science, working in seven public schools in the southern region of Brazil. The proposal aims to strengthen female protagonism in science through inclusive and accessible science education.

Collaborating Professor
National Professional Masters in Physics Teaching (MNPEF)/ UFRGS
Tramandaí, RS
I work as a collaborating professor at MNPEF/UFRGS, focusing on supervising research that discusses the inclusion of people with disabilities in the teaching of Science and Physics. In the program, I co-supervise research that seeks to transform pedagogical practices and increase the representation of groups historically excluded from STEM fields.

Academic Background
2021 - 2024
PUCRS
PhD
Porto Alegre, RS
During my PhD, I developed a research project entitled “disability, science & Inclusion: possibilities for building science capital from an accessible museum experience”, investigating how museums can foster Science Capital among people with disabilities.
The project included a 6-month period at Newcastle University and a 3-month period at Oxford University , in the United Kingdom, deepening the analyses based on international accessibility experiences.

2019 - 2021
PUCRS
Master's degree
Porto Alegre, RS
My master thesis investigated the popularization of science and the inclusion of deaf people in accessible museum spaces, analyzing how visual, tactile and Sign Language resources can make scientific knowledge more accessible. The study combined interviews and observations in Brazilian museums.

Supervisor: Prof. Dr. José Luis Ferraro
2015 - 2018
PUCRS
Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences
Porto Alegre, RS
During my undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences, I worked on different research fronts, including in the PUCRS Structural Biochemistry and Geobiology laboratories, with a focus on a study of bacteria in conditions similar to those on Mars. In my final year of undergraduate studies, inspired by the Libras (Brazilian Sign Language) course, I turned my attention to inclusion, developing an educational project at the PUCRS Science and Technology Museum. This experience marked the transition from research in biosciences to working in Inclusive Education, with a focus on accessibility in science communication spaces.

Bilingual Pedagogy
Porto Alegre, RS
Since 2023, I have been completing my education with a second degree in Bilingual Pedagogy from the National Institute of Education for the Deaf (INES/UFRGS) as a way to expand my work in the area of inclusive education. By delving deeper into the pedagogical foundations of bilingual education in Portuguese and Libras, I seek to strengthen my ability to develop more accessible and culturally sensitive educational practices, especially aimed at the deaf community.
